2. Driftwood

This is a very easy and common material to find pretty much everywhere in different styles and applications you can find it in furniture like coffee table this looks very muted, natural and beautiful this can go with both California and Florida style, you can also use it in organisation boxes, in bathroom shelfs or a corner table between the sofa set or ultimately in accents of furniture like door handles, legs or hands or a table or chair in a small ottoman or puffy etc.

3. Natural Materials & Textures

Natural materials like jute, linen, sea grass, wicker etc. all the natural fibres, textures and materials which are locally found because we are trying to implement the natural environment i.e. beach.

Also try to incorporate these natural materials in practical home solutions like using them for storage or as a furniture. For e.g. a jute shelf in which you can keep your clothes or light weighted items, lots of baskets made up of jute or even bamboo you can use them in bathroom, kitchen etc.,

You can also use a lot of rope, rope baskets, vases basically using tan or colour rope can bring a lot of coastal vibes into the house. You can also use a lot of linen in pillows, living room couch or wherever possible. Use all of these materials in a form of organisers, containers and rugs.

4. Play with Stripes

Stripes is a great way to bring in those coastal vibes mostly in California coastal neutral colour stripes are very famous as they are patterned , geometrical . If you want to get fun with colours like blues and yellow than it will fit more in the Florida coastal theme. Use stripes in different areas of the house like in living room use a light colour striped rug, or a striped couch, in kitchen you can use stripes trays, cloths, in bedroom use stripes pillows, cushions, bed sheets etc. You can also use striped vases or decorative items in the house.

5. Accessorize

Include beach stuffs to accessorise the house like seashells, sea glass, include these items but keep it simple do not overboard as we want to maintain the natural look throughout. Include some interesting art pieces geometric frames, animal textured frames, use little bit of shimmer.

Search in a lot of furniture and art stores for something natural, neutral, and tanned. You can also go little vintage in style, like Victorian fashion.

You can also buy seashells partition hangings and create a beautiful partition with that, hang it with curtains or just on the wall and the last and a very beautiful option is jute or rope hanging lamp/light you can buy it from a local store or even make it yourself at home.

Use natural seashells decorative pieces. Just imagine you are on a beach and include those items however possible in your home. Pick natural, green and sand based articles.

So these were some of the ideas which you can implement in your own house, to have that vibe of beach by doing just little efforts. You can always look for more options and be creative but just remember keep it NATURAL AND CLEAN.
