The cost of painting a house depends on the paint materials you choose and the surface area that requires painting.
For a house of 1000 sq.ft (carpet area) the area of wall and ceiling to be painted would be approximately = 1000 X 3.5= 3500 sq.ft
For a house of 1000 sq.ft (built up area) the area of wall and ceiling to be painted would be approximately = 1000 X 0.75 X 3.5 = 2625 sq.ft
Assuming a Carpet area to Build up area = 0.75

Paint life around 3–4 years.
- Premium washable Emulsion – (water-based, anti-fungal, soft sheen finish) will cost – Rs.25/sq.ft (one coat putty,one coat primer and two coat paints, labour + Material cost)
Total cost estimate = 25 *2625 = Rs.1,065,625/-
Paint life around 7–8 years (Paint comes with five years warranty from the manufacturer)
